#21 is an SW8 built in 1953 for the Southern Pacific Railroad as their #1115. She came to Yreka some years later as our
#21. She is a very unique locmotive has it has dynamic brakes, very rare for a switching locomotive. The 21 handles the majority
of any freight work and occasionally pulls excursion trains.
